What do you like most about being an engineer with Omnicell?
“The sense of collaboration has been unmatched here. When I first began in my role, everyone was immediately helpful and more than willing to share their expertise with me. Everyone here has so much wisdom to share— while I’m learning from each person I have worked with so far, they have also been patient in this journey with me. Each person here is in a phase where they are always learning, always looking for new things, and always working to better themselves.”
Can you share more of your career progression at Omnicell and how the company has supported your growth?
“Omnicell has been outstanding— I could not speak highly enough of my experience thus far. I started last May moving for a Research and Design role at my previous company into my current role as Supply Quality Engineer based on the internal relationships I began building. Leadership made this transitional period seamless for me— they have given me every bit of support I needed to succeed and thrive not just in my new role, but in the company as well.”
What advice would you give to women who are interested in engineering roles at Omnicell?
“I think that the representation of women in engineering at Omnicell is fantastic. I find that, especially on the quality side of things, I’m surrounded by amazing and knowledgeable women in the company at all levels. One of the best things I can advise is to not shy away from asking some of the women on the upper levels to help guide and mentor you. Scheduling one on one meetings to learn from this set of knowers and doers will be beneficial on anyone’s journey while also giving someone more of an understanding of Omnicell.”
How does your work contribute to Omnicell’s innovation and impact on healthcare technology?
“Our team really focuses on helping move things forward. We communicate changes back to suppliers to assist in initiating innovations. We work with a lot of services that are considered specialty, and they know some of our products the best. We are collaborative with them in terms of putting out the most innovative products that we possibly can. At the end of it all, we take pride in assuring our customers will receive the best products by Omnicell.”
