Dan Cohen joined Omnicell as employee #263 in 1996. Thirty years later, he is still doing what he loves: building, solving, and collaborating.

His story started in the most hands-on way possible:

“My first job was basically manufacturing assembly… I put computers together. And two days later, I was adopted by the hardware engineering team.”

From there, Dan moved through hardware, firmware, and eventually into software, shaping products and teams along the way.

Today, he serves as a Technical Director, bringing years of cross-functional experience to some of our most complex engineering challenges.

But what’s kept him here for three decades isn’t just the technology.

“It really is the people… it’s a familial culture. It’s actually a really nice place to work… kindness and empathy really matter here.”

When you ask Dan what motivates him after all this time, his answer is simple:

“I’m less about the technology and more about the team working together… it’s incredibly rewarding when 200 people come together to deliver something hard.”

That sense of shared accomplishment, and the relationships built along the way, is what has made his career more than just a job.

“I love working at Omnicell. I really do. After 30 years, it becomes part of who you are.”

Dan, thank you for the impact you’ve made, the teams you’ve helped build, and the culture you’ve helped shape. Congratulations on an incredible milestone!
