We want you to feel prepared and excited to bring your best self to Omnicell. Our interview process is a two-way conversation—and an opportunity to discover if we’re the right match for each other.
To prepare for your interview, we recommend revisiting your resume and reflecting on your key achievements and experiences and how they align with this opportunity. Be ready to share specific examples and prepare some questions for us as well.
- Be Yourself: While it's important to be professional, it's also crucial to let your personality shine through.
- Review & Reflect: Review your resume and reflect on your key achievements and experiences. Be ready to discuss your professional journey, as well as your enthusiasm for contributing to Omnicell's promise, purpose, and guiding principles.
- Understand the Role: Review the job description to understand the responsibilities, required skills, and qualifications. Identify key areas where your experience and skills match the job requirements.
Test Your Technology
- Download the Zoom app on your smartphone or computer ahead of time.
- Ensure that you have a stable internet connection.
- Test your computer’s microphone and video settings prior to the interview.
- If needed, dial into the “call in number” via a landline or cell phone to ensure a clearer audio connection.
- If possible, record a practice call to view your body language and hear the tone of your voice to see how you come across.
Prepare a Place
Find a quiet place and set up in front of a neutral background with nothing distracting in view.
- Make sure you are well lit (natural light is best), with your light source behind your computer.
- Eliminate distractions by shutting the door, silencing your phone, closing your email, and setting any instant messenger apps to ‘do not disturb’ so you can give the interviewer(s) your full attention.
Dress to Impress
- Dress the same way you would for an in-person interview.
- Present a professional appearance.
Body Language
- Communicate confidence by sitting up straight and conveying positive body language.
- Look at the camera instead of at yourself, so it shows you are talking directly to the interviewer(s). Place the video window as close to your camera as possible (centered is best).
- Speak loudly and clearly into the microphone.
What if the Video Connection is Interrupted
- Disconnect completely from the call and try re-connecting again via Zoom.
- Be prepared to receive a call on the phone number listed on your resume if Zoom is not working.
- If you are unable to connect with the interviewer, please let your recruiter know as soon as possible.
